About Spotlyte

Spotlyte originated in 2017 as one of three new digital ventures launched by Allergan, a biopharmaceutical company behind products like BOTOX, Juvéderm, CoolSculpting and more. As such, Spotlyte served as a digital editorial platform that provided expert content on skincare, beauty and aesthetic treatments, and strove to demystify and destigmatize medical aesthetics.

About two years after Spotlyte’s launch, I joined its product team of four people, in which Maia Conlon and I were the sole designers. Working lean and agile, I had the privilege of spearheading many feature-oriented initiatives, while working with and helping evolve the existing atomic design system. 

When Allergan became Allergan Aesthetics, part of AbbVie, I was internally transferred to a team that was about to launch a new all-in-one-place loyalty program called Allē. Spotlyte officially sunset October 2020.
